Politicos pay tribute to Gopinath Munde New Delhi, June 03 (ANI): Political leaders from various political parties paid tribute to late BJP leader Gopinath Munde on Tuesday. Among those who paid tribute to Munde were Rajnath Singh, Murli Manohar Joshi, Vijay Goel, Harish Rawat, Hamid Ansari, Rahul Gandhi, LK Advani, Vasundhra Raje, Arun Jaitley, Ram Vilas Paswan and his son Chirag Paswan. Munde tragically passed away on Tuesday morning after meeting with an accident in Delhi's Prithviraj-Tughlak Road at around 6:30 am. Singapore Navy Chief receives tri-servic New Delhi, June 03 (ANI): Singapore Navy Chief, Rear-Admiral, Ng Chee Peng, who is on a visit to India, received a tri-service Guard of Honour at presidential palace in New Delhi on Tuesday. Rear-Admiral is on a visit which is a part of Singapore Indian Maritime Bilateral Exercise (SIMBEX) between the two countries. Indian navy chief, Admiral Robin K Dhowan, said Ng Chee Peng's visit to India will strengthen the ties between the two maritime nations. SIMBAX is in its 21st edition and is held every year since its induction in 1994 starting off with anti-submarine warfare. India, France hold joint air exercise in Jodhpur, June 03 (ANI): India, France held joint air exercises in Rajasthan to strengthen ties and understand operational methods. Both the nations commenced the ten-day air exercise, Garuda V, at Jodhpur's air base. The exercise aims to expose Indian Air Force (IAF) pilots to French fighter and combat tactics and vice-versa. During this fortnight long exercise, both the Air Forces would engage in operations based on their Operational Philosophy and methodology of operations practicing various challenging air situation scenarios. India's defense spokesperson, Colonel SD Goswami, said this exercise would help in strengthening combat relations between the two countries. Gold in India drops in longest losing st Visakhapatnam, June 02 (ANI): Gold slid for a fifth straight session on Monday, in its longest losing streak since November, as investor sentiment was hurt by stronger global equities and weak physical demand in Asia. The 5-day fall is the metal's longest losing streak since October-November when it fell for seven straight days. On Monday, as gold prices fell, customers in Visakhapatnam made a beeline to jewellery shops. A customer, Deepti, was elated over the fall in the gold price and said that even the middle class can afford to buy the precious metal.
