Gold stood at 26,450 rupees for 10 grams on November 25 and further fell to 26, 355 rupees on November 26. Jewellers say that this phenomenon was due to fluctuations in the international market. The Auto sector is up 68.70 points at 18,805.38 while the banking sector is down 62.95 points at 20,586.35 and the reality sector is up 64.39 points at 1,660.73. The Auto sector is down 201.34 points at 18,736.68 while the banking sector is down 277.90 points at 20,649.30 and the reality sector is down 55.25 points at 1,596.34. Australia batsman Phillip Hughes dies fr Sydney, Nov 27 (ANI): Australian cricketer Phillip Hughes passed away on Thursday as he succumbed to injuries that he had suffered when struck by a bouncer at the SCG on Tuesday. The 25-year-old South Australian batsman, who was pushing for a Test recall against India in Brisbane next week, was knocked out after the ball made impact under his helmet, behind his left ear. Hughes collapsed on the pitch before being rushed to Sydney's St Vincent's Hospital. He underwent emergency surgery and was put in an induced coma but never regained consciousness. "We are extremely sad to announce that Phillip Hughes has passed away at the age of 25," Cricket Australia said in a statement. 27-Nov-2014

Boxer Manoj Kumar finally receives his A New Delhi, Nov 26 (ANI): Boxer Manoj Kumar, a 2010 Commonwealth Games gold medalist, who was earlier denied the Arjuna Award, India's second highest sports award, received the honour on Wednesday (November 26) after he challenged the decision in court.The Delhi High Court on September 17 had said that a decision was taken in favour of Kumar, who had dragged the Arjuna Award selection committee to court after he failed to appear on the list of nominees for the same. The controversy started when Kumar, with 32 points, the highest score among the boxers who had applied for the honour, was left out of the final list of Arjuna Awardees while Jai Bhagwan, who had two points less than Kumar was shortlisted for the award. Kumar, who received the Arjuna award from Sports Minister, Sarbananda Sonowal, expressed his happiness. 27-Nov-2014

Reactions come in as SC asks to disquali New Delhi, Nov 27 (ANI): Reactions come in as the Supreme Court on Thursday observed that action should be taken on the Mudgal Committee's probe report on the IPL spot-fixing scam and Chennai Super Kings team should be 'terminated without further enquiry' from the IPL tournament. Sports Minister Sarbananda Sonowal said that he will comment on the same after taking a look at the report. Justice (Retd.) Mukul Mudgal, who is heading the Mudgal Committee panel said that Commitee report is under consideration and that he cannot say anything about it now. Defence Expert hails Army for indicting New Delhi, Nov 27 (ANI): Defence Expert Lt. Gen. (Retd.) Raj Kadyan hailed Indian Army for indicting nine soldiers including a Junior Commissioned Officer of 53 Rashtriya Rifles for killing two youths in Chattergam Chadoora area of Budgam district on November 3. Kadyan said that this shows that Army carries on its work with full dedication and without any bias. He also said that the course of action is to be seen as to what action the Army takes. He also assured that Army will give whatever punishment that should be meted out to them. The army completed its inquiry into the firing incident in which two Kashmiri youths had lost their lives, while two others were injured and found gross violation by the jawans. Indian nurses stranded in Libya seek hel Kerala/ Libya, Nov 27 (ANI): More than 22 nurses from Kerala, who are stranded in war torn Libya without the payments, have shared their ordeal with the Indian government through a video, appealing for help to evacuate them. Nurses are crying for help to return back home to India at the earliest as they have not got their salary for the past four months. Family of a nurse Dhanya Mathew, who sent their daughter to Libya for a better future, are worried as their only shelter can be snatched away anytime if the loan they took for her studies, visa and ticket is not deposited soon. For the nurse's parents the only hope is the Indian government and the embassy officials. The nurse's family says their daughter had a chance earlier to return home but could not due to financial issues. Also, the employers had promised to increase salary, said the family. A group of 22 nurses from Kerala stranded at Benghazi in Libya have been shifted to a safe hospital but are now even finding it difficult to have basic food as they are left with no money in the strife-torn country. 27-Nov-2014

Politicos react after CBI report states New Delhi/Lucknow/Hyderabad, Nov 27 (ANI): Politicos reacted on Thursday after CBI in its report stated that it has found no evidence of murder or sexual assault in its probe into the death of two teenage cousins whose bodies were found hanging from a tree in Badaun district of Uttar Pradesh and claimed that the two girls had committed suicide. BJP's UP unit President Laxmikant Bajpai said that the government should look into the reports. Congress leader Manish Tewari said that the court will look into the CBI report and give its verdict. India agrees with US on food stockpiling New Delhi, Nov 13 (ANI): India has reached an agreement with the United States on public stockpiling of food, Trade Minister, Nirmala Sitharaman, said on Thursday (November 13), paving the way for the implementation of a global trade facilitation deal that has been stalled for months.
