Indonesia confirms Chhota Rajan arrest Bali, Indonesia, Oct 28 (ANI): Chhota Rajan, one of India's most wanted gangster, who was arrested in the tourist town of Bali, Indonesia on a Red Corner Notice issued by Interpol, has now been confirmed by Indonesian police. Reinhard Habonaran Nainggolan Chief Detective, Denpasar Police said an Indian with a name of ‘Mohan Kumar' was arrested at the Bali airport. The arrest was made on a tip off from Australian police that 55-year-old Rajendra Sadashiv Nikalje alias Mohan Kumar alias Chhota Rajan, the powerful aide-turned-rival of terrorist Dawood Ibrahim, has flown from Sydney to Bali. CBI had issued a Red Corner Notice against him in July, 1995 on the request of Mumbai Police which was probing cases against him. 28-Oct-2015

Japan's Tokushima prefecture is the hub of manufacturing LED lights. The region owns the facility to provide a consultation of a new LED product development and evaluation of the product performance free-of-charge. LED traffic signal is one of the products which were jointly developed by Tokushima Prefecture and local businesses by taking advantage of energy saving feature of LED. The LED traffic signals can be replaced easily to the traditional incandescent traffic lights. Only requirement is to simply replace the bulb. In addition to energy saving, LED bulbs have 10 times longer life. The local government in Tokushima is flooded with orders from all country Japan. Villagers live under fear as elephants c West Midnapore, Oct 28 (ANI): Residents of several villages in West Bengal live under fear as elephant herds went on a rampage destroying crops and mud houses in the area. Locals complained that around 30 elephants have been creating menace in the villages of West Midnapore district for the last four days. They alleged inaction from forest authorities despite repeated calls for help. Having suffered heavy losses, farmers sought financial help from the government. India bags 2 silver at Archery World Cup New Delhi, Oct 28 (ANI): Indian archers, Abhishek Verma and Deepika Kumari, arrived in New Delhi after bagging a silver medal each at the Archery World Cup 2015 held in Mexico City. The archers were given a grand welcome at the airport complete with garlands, sweets and fans dancing to drum beats. Verma created history by bagging India's first ever silver medal in the Archery World Cup Final in the compound section. He beat Mexico's Mario Cardoso in the semi-finals by scoring a perfect 150. However, Verma came a close second to Turkey's Demir Elmaagcli with a 143-145 in the summit clash. A visibly elated Verma said that beating some of the world's best players was a unique feat. Deepika Kumari added another silver medal to India's kitty. This is Kumari's fourth silver in five years at the Archery World Cup final. After breezing through her quarters and semifinals Kumari went down 2-6 against Korea's Choi Misun, also the reigning world number one. Rajasthan CM meets PM Modi New Delhi, Oct 28 (ANI): Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje recently met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi. Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan was also present at the occasion. Raje strongly raised issues related to drinking water prevailing in the state with Prime Minister. Raje also urged PM Modi to let more water flow into Rajasthan through the Chambal basin. Making the PM aware about the worrisome geographical situation of the state, Raje urged the Central Government to provide a special relief package of 50 thousand crores. PM Modi holds bilateral meetings with Af New Delhi, Oct 28 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday held bilateral meeting with African leaders on the sidelines of the ongoing third India-Africa Forum Summit (IAFS). PM Modi held talks with President of the Republic of Ghana HE John Mahama and President of the Republic of Zimbabwe Robert Mugabe. The Prime Minister also held talks of strategic importance with King of Swaziland His Majesty King Mswati III. The India-Africa Forum Summit is the third of its kind and, since the first was held in 2008. India is also in talks with South Africa to buy coal mines producing up to 90 million tonnes of coking coal each year to feed its growing steel industry. India ranks up in 'Ease of Doing Busines Patna, Oct 28 (ANI): India’s forward movement of 12 spots in the 'Ease of Doing Business'list by World Bank was lauded by Finance Minister Arun Jaitley on. The nation was on 142nd rank last year. These rankings sometimes form the basis of foreign investments in a country and are based on 10 indicators such as how easy it is to start a business. According to the World Bank, India has made rapid strides in the "days to start a business" moving from a ranking of 127 in 2014 to 29 this year. Jaitley added that 12 point ranking doesn’t reflect the true ease which has come in India and that many steps are being taken which will be reflected in next years' rating. Mahagathbandhan 'scared' of PM Modi: Sus Patna, Oct 28 (ANI): Accusing Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad Yadav of lowering the standard of debate during the Bihar Assembly polls, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Sushil Modi on Wednesday said that the grand alliance was scared of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Speaking to ANI’s Editor (News) Smita Prakash, he criticised Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for his silence over the derogatory remarks made by Lalu against Prime Minister Modi. The BJP leader said that when Prime Minister Modi cancelled his rally on October 16, the Mahagathbandhan went into a state of panic and did 22 rallies.When asked to comment on the BJP not declaring a chief ministerial candidate; he said that alliance is more important for the people of Bihar. Polling for the third phase of the five-phase Bihar Assembly elections began at 7 a.m. amid tight security arrangements today. A total of 808 candidates are in the fray for 50 assembly seats across Bhojpur, Buxar, Nalanda, Patna, Saran and Vaishali districts. Edhi declines PM Modi's donation New Delhi/ Pakistan, Oct 28 (ANI): Pakistani charity Edhi Foundation, who took care of Indian girl Geeta, has confirmed that it declined Prime Minister Narendra Modi's donation offer of 10 million rupees. The donation was offered in recompense for 13 years of caring for a lost deaf-mute Indian girl Geeta whose quest to return home captivated the subcontinent. Geeta flew to India on Monday (October 26), after identifying photographs of a family based in the Bihar as being hers. She was greeted by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who also thanked the Edhi Foundation. "What the Edhi family has done is too priceless to be measured but I am happy to announce a contribution of one crore rupees to their foundation," Modi said in a tweet. But the charity has politely declined the cash. However, spokesperson of India's foreign ministry, Vikas Swarup, rejected the claim.
