The Prime Minister said he was astonished that the grand alliance is getting impatient as this election is coming to an end. Continuing his tirade against Lalu Prasad Yadav, Prime Minister Modi said the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) supremo was genius in fooling the people of Bihar. Asserting that development is the solution to key problems in the state, Prime Minister Modi pointed out that the BJP-led NDA will form a government which is pro-poor. Batting for a corrupt-free government in Bihar, Prime Minister Modi said the NDA regime at the Centre has taken apt steps to end corruption in the last 16 months. Chhota Rajan cooperating in investigatio Bali, Oct 30 (ANI): Bali Police Spokesperson Heri Wiyanto on Friday said that underworld don Chhota Rajan is fully cooperating in the investigation after his arrest. Rajendra Sadashiv Nikalje alias Chhota Rajan was arrested by security agencies in Bali, Indonesia, on Sunday. Wiyanto said that Rajan has confessed about his identity and about his parents, and has not asked for any special legal help as of now. Folk artist arrested for sedition on sin Chennai, Oct 30 (ANI): A folk singer has been arrested by the Chennai police for making a song in which he criticised the Tamil Nadu government for the alcoholism in the state, with the police booking him for sedition for using alleged derogatory remarks against AIADMK chief J Jayalalithaa in the lyrics. Folk artist and activist Kovan was picked up by the police after he had recently released a song on alcoholism in the state, blaming the Jayalalithaa government for the same, said News Minute. The Chennai police and lawyer representing Kovan, Gym Raj Milton, have said that Kovan has been arrested under 124A (sedition), 153 (attempt to create enmity between social groups) and 502/1 (sale any printed or engraved substance containing defamatory matter) by the Chennai city crime branch police. Surrendered militant leads normal life a Poonch, Oct 30 (ANI): A former militant in Jammu and Kashmir today leads a normal life working as special police officer after he surrendered before the Indian government. Noor Ahmed surrendered before police in 2003 after he fled from a militant camp. Ahmed was abducted by the militants and taken across the Indian border when he was a kid. Today he works as a special police officer in Surankote region of Poonch district. In 2005, Ahmed got married to a local girl and has four children. After decades of a strict one-child policy, the ruling Communist Party said on Thursday (October 29) that China will allow all families the freedom to have two children. For many parents, the loosening of the policy will have little impact on the number of children they choose to have. As an employee of the government, Kong Linde is one of many parents who would have faced serious consequences had she had a second child under the previous policy. Now that she has been given the option to have two children, Kong said the financial burden to raise a child in China has made it impossible. Cameramen assaulted by bouncers during H Jalandhar, Oct 30 (ANI): Cricketer Harbhajan Singh and actress Geeta Basra, who were rumoured to be a pair for more than 8 years now, have finally made it official by tying a knot. But the controversy loomed large over the wedding ceremony where a few cameramen were allegedly assaulted by bouncers. While a few journalists were taking shots of Geeta entering the premises of the house, few bouncers warned the cameramen not to take these shots and snatched their cameras. Angry cameramen protested in front of Harbhajan's house, which compelled Harbhajan to make a public apology. The Deputy Commissioner of Police, Jalandhar informed that they have arrested four accused bouncers and the further investigation is underway. Family mourns Indian businessman shot de Anand, Oct 30 (ANI): Family members mourned the death of an Indian businessman murdered in a shootout in the United States. Ashwin Patel, 50, originally from Anand city of Gujarat, was killed by robbers at a convenience store he worked at in Edison, New Jersey on Tuesday. He had been residing in Edison since the past two decades. The incident happened as the store, which was attached to a gas station, was about to close for the day. As per reports, the robber fired three bullets which hit Ashwin in the leg and back, and killed him on the spot. He is survived by his wife and two children. Esther Anuhya case: Death sentence to Sa Mumbai, Oct 30 (ANI): Mumbai Sessions court on Friday, declared a death sentence for the convict Chandrabhan Sudam Sanap (29), for raping and murdering a Hyderabad techie Esther Anuhya on January 5, 2014 at Kanjurmarg. The victim’s relative expressed their happiness and satisfaction with verdict. The special women court judge Vrushali Joshi delivered the verdict. Special public prosecutor Raja Thakare examined 39 witnesses in case while the defence had three witnesses. It was on January 5, 2014 that Sanap met Esther at LTT, after she alighted from the train at around 5 am that brought her back to Mumbai after her Christmas break in Hyderabad. Sanap offered to drop her to her hostel in Andheri. They negotiated and decided that she would pay him Rs 300 for the ride. Footage of the negotiations has been caught on the CCTV cameras installed on LTT premises. Later she found out that Sanap never had a cab but a bike and was raped at Kanjurmarg highway. 30-Oct-2015
Delhi HC holds CAG cannot conduct audit New Delhi, Oct 30 (ANI): In a blow to the AAP government in the national capital, the Delhi HC has ruled that the Comptroller and Auditor General of India (CAG) has no power to audit the accounts of power companies. The decision came as a relief to the three major power distribution companies in Delhi- including Tata Power, Reliance Infra, and BSES Rajdhani Power Ltd and BSES Yamuna Power Ltd. In its draft audit report in August this year, CAG had reportedly said that BSES Yamuna, BSES Rajdhani and Tata Power Delhi Distribution Ltd had inflated their previously incurred losses. These companies have been pressing Delhi Electricity Regulatory Commission to allow them to recover the "regulatory assets". 30-Oct-2015

Govt bans documentary film on beef ahead New Delhi, Oct 30 (ANI): The ministry of information and broadcasting has refused to clear a 21-minute film that deals with "beef-eating practices in Mumbai" for a documentary festival in Delhi. The documentary, titled Caste on the Menu Card, was the only one among the 35 sent to the I&B Ministry to be denied exemption for screening during the 12th Jeevika Asia Livelihood Documentary Festival 2015 in New Delhi, according to Centre for Civil Society (CCS). Reacting on the same, Film Festival Director Manoj Mathew blamed the wrong vibes and recent incidents over beef in the country, for the ban. BJP accuses Lalu-Nitish of 'sheltering' Patna, Oct 30 (ANI): The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Friday lashed out at Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) Chief Lalu Prasad Yadav by accusing them of sheltering the terrorists in Bihar for the sake of 'vote banks'. BJP leader Sushil Modi said that the militants of different terror outfits like Laskhar-e-Toiba (LeT) and Indian Mujahideen (IM) consider Bihar to be a safe haven. Modi further attacked the duo over Bihar police's denial to take Yasin Bhatkal in its custody when he was caught in Nepal.
