Business hits badly as unrest continues Nepal, Oct 29 (ANI): Markets in Birganj city of Nepal are wearing a deserted look. It’s been over two months; the ongoing unrest in the region has severely affected the trade and business. Birganj is one of the main trade routes with India and has been facing an estimated daily loss of Rs. 15 billion. Prabhu Prasad Sarahu, who owns a jewellery shop, says that he is unable to pay salary to his staff and to meet financial needs. Affected businesses include factories, bank and financial institutions and those related to imports and exports through one of the country’s busiest trade points. Losses in industrial estates alone are about Rs. 500 million to Rs. 600 million a day. Some traders in Birganj are facing tough time as trading has almost come to a halt. For over two months now, the Madhesi protesters are opposing Nepal’s new Constitution. The protesting parties have demanded, among other things, withdrawal of armed police force from Terai districts and withdrawal of cases against their leader and cadres and martyrdom status of those killed during protests. 29-Oct-2015

He said that the all the three parties of the grand alliance, that is, Congress, RJD and JD (U) are struggling to save themselves and are not formed on common agenda but to save their lost identity. Odisha's Keshab Swain attempts to smash Bhubaneswar, Oct 29 (ANI): An Indian man attempted to smash his own Guinness World Record by breaking 92 green coconuts with his elbow within a minute in Bhubaneswar. Currently, martial arts expert Keshab Swain holds the record of cracking 85 green coconuts in less than 60 seconds since 2012. The event, which was held in presence of sports enthusiasts, youths and international referees, saw Swain's attempt to break 132 green coconuts with his elbow of which 92 were counted by the judges. International referee and judge at the event, Sudhansu Sekhar Harichandan said he would send the result to the concerned authorities. Swain was thrilled and said he was proud of his achievement. Education minister of Odisha, Debi Prasad Mishra mentioned other attributes and achievements of Swain to the audience. Swain first hogged the limelight in 2007 when he smashed 135 green coconuts with elbow, fist, knee and head in a time span of seven minutes and 26 seconds to enter the Limca Book of Records. 29-Oct-2015

Kalburgi Murder Case: Dead body found re Belgaum, Oct 29 (ANI): The investigation into the assassination of leftist scholar M M Kalburgi has taken a curious turn with the discovery of a dead body that resembles the suspected killer. The Belgaum police stumbled upon the bullet ridden body of a man at a desolate spot in the Khanapur taluk of the district and gave him a burial a few days later when nobody turned up to lay claim. Later the police, as per the protocol, released images of the dead man in an attempt to find his family. Few local activists then noticed that the dead man bears a striking resemblance to the sketch of the suspect in the Kalburgi murder that was released by the police. Police sources in Belgaum said that the unidentified man was shot dead using a country made pistol. They said he was shot from close range and there were no signs of struggle. However, Belgaum Superintendent of Police Ravikante Gowda dismissed these reports. A CID team from Bengaluru has reached Khanapur and is investigating the whole matter. 29-Oct-2015

BJP’s plan B to create communal tensio Madhubani, Oct 29 (ANI): Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi on Thursday addressed a rally in Madhubani district of Bihar and said that BJP’s plan B is to create communal tensions among different communities. He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi makes false misleading statement wherever he goes, because that is the part of his training. Gandhi also maintained that BJP will surely lose in the Bihar assembly polls and that 'Mahagathbandhan' will come to power in the state. The Congress is contesting 41 seats in the 243-member Bihar assembly, while the JD (U) and RJD are contesting 101 seats each. TRAI to meet telecom operators again ove New Delhi, Oct 29 (ANI): Telecom sector regulator TRAI on Thursday will meet telecom operators again shortly on issues concerning call drops. Telecom players met the TRAI Chairman RS Sharma who told them that on-road tests would be conducted in Delhi, Mumbai, and five other cities in December. On the regulation of compensation (to consumers on each call drop with a cap of Rs. 3 per day) from January 1, the regulator said the regulation remains the same. Chhota Rajan says want to return to Indi Bali, Oct 29 (ANI): Wanted Gangster Chhota Rajan, who was arrested in Indonesian resort of Bali on Sunday, said that he wants to return to India. While being taken for questioning at Denpasar police station in Bali, Chhota Rajan maintained that he had not surrendered to the police. Speculations were that his arrest was a part of a ‘deal’ with Indian security agencies. Meanwhile, reports suggest that his extradition to India may not be easy as the Indonesian court may not allow it.
