The former deputy CM claimed that MLAs of Janata Dal United (JDU) and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) were kept in safe house inside Kumar's residence ahead of the polling in state assembly. Reportedly, a police team had signalled the accused to stop near Paravoor Junction but they sped away. They were finally intercepted by another police team led by superintendent of police, A.V.
