New Delhi, Oct 30 (ANI): Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Tuesday reacted over Congress president Rahul Gandhi’s remark on him. Singh said that he is going to file a defamation case against Gandhi for defaming his name and reputation.  “If a junior leader made these allegations then it would be different, but Congress President levelling such allegations is unfortunate. Srinagar (J&K), Oct 30 (ANI): A two-day exclusive exhibition of vintage cars and bikes cum rally was organised in Jammu and Kashmir’s Srinagar. The exhibition was organised by Kashmir Off-Road. Various vintage, classic, off-road, modified cars, modern cars and bikes dating back to 1950’s and onwards were displayed at Srinagar’s prominent Sher-i-Kashmir International Conference Centre (SKICC). People flocked to the exhibition and recalled their memories by watching the vintage cars.

New Delhi, Oct 30 (ANI): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Subramanian Swamy on Tuesday reacted on Congress president Rahul Gandhi’s “Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) is on fire because of PM Modi’s mistakes” remark. Swamy said that the Congress president’s whole family is responsible for the critical situation of the state and BJP is rectifying the mistakes done by Rahul Gandhi’s family. “Former prime minister Jawahar Lal Nehru handed over Kashmir to the United Nations and cause the dispute,” said Swamy. The Congress president on October 29 said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had made “mistakes” on Jammu and Kashmir, as a result of which the state is “on fire”.

Air quality remains ‘poor’ in nation

New Delhi, Oct 30 (ANI): Air quality in Delhi remained in the poor category on Tuesday as the city woke up to a thick, pale haze. According to the latest Air Quality Index (AQI) data, the air quality of Delhi’s Lodhi Road area showed levels of prominent pollutants PM (particulate matter) 2.5 and PM 10 at 280 and 280  respectively. The stubble burning in the neighbouring states is major contributor to air pollution in National Capital Region (NCR).

Family in Odisha living under acute pove

Mayurbhanj (Odisha), Oct 30 (ANI): Despite several housing and welfare schemes by State and Central Governments, a poor family in Odisha’s Mayurbhanj lives under extreme poverty. They live in a hut with polythene roof since last 35 years. Jyashna Mukhi, a family member said that several promises have been made by politicians but nobody helped them. Her husband died a few days ago due to poverty and lack of proper medical care. Jyashna’s son work as a helper in a local shop. He gets Rs 70 per day. “Rs 70 is only what we have to keep our family running”, said Jyashna. “Several Governments have come and gone, but we didn’t even get a single polythene from them”, she added.

Hyderabad, Oct 30 (ANI): Hyderabad Police seized Rs 1,20, 50,000 cash during vehicle checking on Monday. As part of model code of conduct, police were conducting vehicle checking near Shahinayathgunj in poll bound Telangana when they thwarted the people carrying unaccounted money. “Two persons with Rs. 1,20,50,000 cash were stopped and cash was seized”, said ACP Narender Reddy Goshamahal Division. New Delhi, Oct 29 (ANI): Air quality in Delhi remained in the poor category as stubble burning in the neighbouring states of Punjab and Haryana continue to take a toll on the city’s atmosphere. According to the latest Air Quality Index (AQI) data, the air quality of Delhi’s Lodhi Road area showed levels of prominent pollutants PM (particulate matter) 2.5 and PM 10 at 264 and 251 respectively. Despite being prohibited from burning farm residue, farmers continue to do so due to the lack of feasible alternatives, blaming industries and vehicles for being the primary source for air pollution.

Petrol price plunges below Rs 80 in Delh

New Delhi, Oct 29 (ANI): The fuel prices continued to witness a downfall on Monday with petrol and diesel now being sold at Rs 79.75 and Rs 73.85 per litre in the national capital. Petrol and diesel witnessed a decrease of 30 and 20 paise respectively in Delhi as compared to the rates on October 28. Meanwhile, in Mumbai, the fuel prices witnessed a marginal decline with petrol now being sold at Rs 85.24 per litre (decreased by 30 paise) and diesel is priced at Rs 77.40 per litre (decreased by 21 paise). Fuel prices had earlier witnessed a relentless hike in the country, burning a hole in the common commuter’s pocket.
