Mumbai police officer Himanshu Roy allegedly commits suicide

Mumbai, May 11 (IBNS):  Mumbai police officer Himanshu Roy has allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself on Friday, media reports said.

He headed the Anti-Terror Squad of Maharashtra.

He allegedly shot himself at his residence in Mumbai.

Roy was a 1988- batch Indian Police Service (IPS) Officer.

He had led the investigations into the 2013 Indian Premier League spot-fixing case.

According to reports, he was on a long leave on medical grounds.
