New Delhi/IBNS: In a bid to give a strong challenge to the ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), the Bharatiya Janata Party on Friday released its manifesto for the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections.

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari attended the event of releasing the party's ‘Sankalp Patra’.

Speaking at the launch event, BJP's Delhi unit chief Manoj Tiwari said the party will give an 'efficient and corruption-free' government in the national capital.

Gadkari said the BJP has framed a vision that can change Delhi's future.

"Delhi is a matter of pride for the entire nation," Gadkari said.

Delhi will vote to elect a new Assembly on Feb 8.

The counting of votes will take place on Feb 11.

Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal's Aam Aadmi Party had scripted a massive victory in the 2015 polls.

The party had won 67 of the 70 seats in 2015.

BJP had won three.

The election had assumed significance as the BJP had stormed to power in 2014 at the Centre by winning the general polls, removing the Congress-led UPA government of 10 years. In 2018, PM Narendra Modi and BJP once again returned to power by winning majority seats.
