Ashwin,Jadeja help India register remarkable comeback

Mohali, Nov 27 (IBNS): India made a remarkable recovery after losing quick wickets as the home side ended the second day of the third Test against England at 271 runs for the loss of six wickets, trailing by 12 runs, here on Sunday.

R Ashwin (57*) and Ravindra Jadeja (31*) will continue the battle for India on Monday.

Adding 67 runs in the seventh wicket partnership, Ashwin and Jadeja reduced the gap from England's first innings score of 283 all out.

Virat Kohli (51) and Cheteshwar Pujara
(62) contributed some runs with their willows.

Despite losing Murali Vijay (12)  early, it was the other opener Parthiv Patel, who is playing first Test for India in eight years, trying to impress with the willow with his 42.

He hit 6 boundaries,

Adil Rashid picked up his wicket and then again took the wicket of Ajinkya Rahane (0) to leave India in tough situation.

Rashid picked up three wickets for England.
