Adelaide, Dec 9 (IBNS): India ended the proceedings of the fourth day of the ongoing opening Test match against Australia on a positive note as the hosts finished the play at 104 runs for the loss of four wickets here on Sunday.

Australia need to score 322 runs to win the match.

Indian bowlers are performing strongly to keep Australian batsmen in tough situations.

Shaun Marsh (31*) and Travis Head (11*) ended the day's play for the hosts.

Australia have lost the wickets of Aron Finch (11), Marcus Harris (26), Usman Khawaja (8) and Peter Handscomb (14) so far.

India will need to take six more wickets to register a victory in the series and take 1-0 lead.

R Ashwin is using the conditions perfectly to his advantage and picked up two wickets. Pacer Mohammed Shami also took two wickets.

Earlier, riding on Ajinkya Rahane (70) and Pujara's (71) runs knocks, India were bowled out for 307 runs.

With 15 runs lead in the first innings, India set a target of 322 runs against the hosts.

Nathan Lyon took six wickets in the innings for Australia.
