Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell told the House Financial Services committee on Wednesday concerns about trade policy and a weak global economy are clouding the U.S. economic outlook and the Fed is ready to act appropriately to safeguard the economy, remarks that boosted hopes the Fed will cut rates this month.  Conway G.
