BJP workers protest against UP CM Akhilesh Yadav over Badaun gang rape case

Lucknow, June 02 (ANI): BJP women workers on Monday started protest against Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav over the Badaun gangrape and murder case. In order to stop the protesters marching towards Yadav's residence and office, the state police used water cannons against them. There was heavy police deployment outside the Chief Minister's residence and office. Angry protesters claimed that the police also lathicharged them. Earlier, BJP state President Laxmikant Bajpai had said that women workers of the party would organise a gherao of the Chief Minister's office this morning.
