Family mourns Indian businessman shot dead in New Jersey

Anand, Oct 30 (ANI): Family members mourned the death of an Indian businessman murdered in a shootout in the United States. Ashwin Patel, 50, originally from Anand city of Gujarat, was killed by robbers at a convenience store he worked at in Edison, New Jersey on Tuesday. He had been residing in Edison since the past two decades. The incident happened as the store, which was attached to a gas station, was about to close for the day. As per reports, the robber fired three bullets which hit Ashwin in the leg and back, and killed him on the spot. He is survived by his wife and two children. His family in Anand has demanded Prime Minister Narendra Modi led government’s intervention.
