DU teachers backing FYUP, go on hunger strike over DU-UGC tussle

New Delhi, June 24 (ANI): With the standoff between the University Grants Commission (UGC) and Delhi University (DU) continuing, the university teachers who are in favour of the Four-year Undergraduate Programme hold a hunger strike on Tuesday. They alleged political interference in the issue and say that the Human Resource Development Ministry and the University Grants Commission are responsible for the mess. Meanwhile, Professor Surender Kumar also alleged attack by NSUI and ABVP member on him.
