Five killed in Alang recycling yard blast, injured taken to hospital

Bhavnagar, June 28 (ANI): Five labourers were killed and seven others injured in a gas leak and explosion at Alang ship recycling yard in Bhavnagar district of Gujarat on Saturday. The incident took place when the workers were breaking a ship on plot number 140 of the Alang recycling yard. The injured are shifted to nearby hospital, though a relative of the victim said that the authorities didn’t provide any help whatsoever. The police have initiated a probe into whether the rules for cutting a ship were violated in this case. Further details on cause of the blast will be clear after forensic reports come.
